'Ripple #3' is an animated portrait series developed as an iteration of the original work, which is an interactive multi-sensory installation. The original installation was commissioned as a 30-meter projection piece positioned in a reflecting lagoon. The audience was invited to become part of the artwork with immersive technology that captured their face and morphed them with the different states of water, each state representing a different emotion.
Through a touch screen console they were able to change the temperature and manipulate the temperature and weather, in doing so their own image is manipulated, personifying water with the intention to connect with it through empathy. The narrative builds through various chapters; from ice, which represents fear to evolve through to a storm, a flood, the ocean and then ending in vapor which represents trust.
This piece is the first chapter in an animated series that uses AI to take the concept further through the ability to morph through age, race and gender in a seamless animation, combining all humans into one, and highlighting our similarities rather than our differences. The title “Ripple” suggests how all our actions have ramifications as we are all connected.
Georgie's creative works are often animation-driven, multi-sensory installations where the audience interacts through their image and movement, immersing themselves into their own chapter of her work.
As Georgie enters the web3 space she remains loyal to this inclusive approach, offering to recreate 3 new iterations of the work, incorporating the token holder's image into the morphing animation as an exclusive gift she will create just 3 dynamic works of this nature.
