During the time of Sydney’s Covid lockdowns, I created this work as a symbolic representation of parallel universes and to show the desires which we had, at that point, to change the timeline of events we were currently enduring. Living currently in our fast-paced world, the dancer’s quick movements successfully satisfy our visual desires for quick legibility and instantaneous phenomena as, through the universality of dance, the meaning and experience of the work are easily understandable and does not exclude people who are unfamiliar to modern or abstract art. This work is designed for outdoor projection on a facade in a public space.
