After a technical disaster lost him a job and corrupted his computer in 2014, Special Krystal paused his 3D practice in favour of capturing and collecting rare and random encrypted images emitted from his computer thereafter. Using open-source 3D software, the artist then began transforming these moments into "Krystal's", unique 3D digital artworks on the blockchain, derived from snapshots. Each Krystal features a 3D generative work made from real-time internet glitch captures, encoded music, and open-source 3D technology.
"For each work I create an algorithm coding sound frequency from Snoop Dogg's album: Algorithm (2021) and colour variation into moving synaesthetic forms. This series features and honours legendary rapper and self-proclaimed NFT king, Snoop Dogg.”
