The token holder at the time of Richard's New York gallery exhibition in May will gain entry to the VIP party. Richard Bernstein's contribution to the iconic performer, Grace Jones' image, cannot be overestimated. Designing the art for most of her album covers from the 70s and 80s, Bernstein alternatively played the role of stylist, confidante, and friend. This image, created for Jones's 1984 cover of Interview Magazine, brilliantly captures the groundbreaking image Bernstein and Jones created together as well as intimately shows a side of fame that only he could have captured. Grace Jones once said: "Richard remixed images of the famous to make the stars more obviously famous-looking, like a wonderful fantasy that must never end." While Richard Bernstein is most widely remembered today as the creator of Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine distinctive covers, he created some of the most culturally significant images of one of the most iconic artists of all time. This Interview cover was one of Bernstein's best. Music by Andrew Stanley (of Yolanda Be Cool).
