Rainbow Lorikeets (Trichoglossus moluccsnus) flying through the regenerating bush fire landscape. Noted for their frequent screeching and chattering they have successfully lived side by side with humans and have a wide coastal habitat around Australia. Males and females look identical and they form pairs of relationships occasionally being called to fly in flocks. They are aggressive defenders of their turf and will fight off larger birds. They can live up to 20 years and are very successful foragers of the Australian bush.
