Wa Sei is an Australian-Filipino interdisciplinary self-taught artist
working in Sydney, Australia. His artistic practice is strongly
expressed through a multitude of mediums including painting,
drawing, photography, poetry, video, collage, sculpture and sound.
He creates windows into his subconscious through the gestural
choreography of colour, expressive mark-making and use of recurring motifs. Wa Sei is best known for his abstract expressionist paintings, street photographs and collages that all aim to examine the working of the human psyche through self, space and time.
Wa Sei has participated in solo and group exhibitions within Australia. His work can be found in private collections in Australia, Japan, the Philippines and the United States.
